We, here at Endeavor Egypt, are starting 2011 with several initiatives and activities aiming to bring entrepreneurship into the mainstream of the development discourse in Egypt.
One of those initiatives previously discussed in this post is the LIFT-OFF Initiative. Through this initiative and together with the Institute of International Education, Endeavor Egypt is embarking on several wide-scale activities to “Inspire”, “Enable”, & “Foster” Youth Entrepreneurship in Egypt and other North African countries.
Yesterday, and as part of the Inspire component, Endeavor Egypt began filming a series of short documentary films featuring some of Egypt’s most inspirational success stories of entrepreneurs who beat the odds. The series will present the challenges, the lessons, and the crucial changes that must be made for the sake of a vibrant entrepreneurship and SME space. This is to be presented to the youth through various media campaigns aimed at widening the scale of the Egyptian entrepreneurship movement.
